About the Google Play Availability Checker
Google Play Console reports on your own apps, so there is no built-in way to see where any app stands in each country, or to look at one you do not own. Comparing listings market by market is painfully manual: you have to switch the store's country one at a time. This tool solves both problems by querying every location at once and presenting availability, ratings, price and rankings in a single view.
How it works
Search for an app by name, or paste its Google Play link or package name, then choose which countries to check and get a real-time breakdown across 176 locations. The tool checks availability, ratings, price and chart positions directly from Google Play, then lets you export the full report as CSV, JSON, or email.
Data is fetched live from Google Play each time you run a check, so results reflect the current state of the store at the time of analysis.
FAQ
What does this tool check?
It queries every Apple App Store storefront worldwide to check whether an app, yours or a competitor's, is available, plus its rating and number of ratings, recent user reviews, and chart rankings in each country.
How many countries are covered?
On the App Store, 175 storefronts. On Google Play, 176 named locations. The two lists overlap but are not identical: 160 markets are on both, 15 are App Store only and 16 are Google Play only, which is why the country picker changes with the store you choose. Both are grouped into 5 regions: US & Canada, Europe, Africa/Middle East/India, Latin America/Caribbean, and Asia Pacific.
Where does the data come from?
For App Store checks, data comes directly from Apple's public iTunes Search API, RSS feeds and storefront endpoints. For Google Play checks, it comes from Google Play's own public store endpoints. Everything is read live from the stores themselves, and no third-party data sources are used.
Is this tool free?
Free to start. Any report of up to 5 countries is free, and the 'Try it out' demo apps run free in full. A free account adds 200 countries every month, enough to cover every country on either store in one report, and paid plans add more.
How is my monthly allowance counted?
1 per country where your app is available, shown in your account as a credit. Countries where it's unavailable or errored are free. Reports of up to 5 countries never count at all, and adding a 6th counts the whole report rather than just the extra one. You'll need enough to cover everything you select before a report runs, but you're only charged for the countries where your app actually appears.
Do I need an account?
No account is needed to try it: run an instant check on up to 5 countries, or run any of the 'Try it out' demo apps in full. To check your own app more widely, create a free account: it comes with 200 countries a month, enough for every country on either store in one report, and you are only charged for countries where your app is actually available. With an account you can also save apps to a watchlist and re-run checks any time, and every report you run is kept so you can reopen it or compare two of them side by side. On Pro, saved apps are re-checked automatically on a schedule and every check emails you its result, leading with any market that gained or lost availability.
Can I export the results?
Yes. After the analysis completes you can export the full report as CSV, JSON, or share a summary via email.
How long does an analysis take?
A full App Store check across its 175 storefronts typically completes in about 3 minutes, and a full Google Play sweep of its 176 locations is usually quicker. You can also select specific countries to speed things up.
Why are chart rankings missing for some countries?
Some smaller App Store storefronts (e.g. Anguilla, Bermuda) have very few apps and Apple may not publish full chart rankings for them. Even widely popular apps can appear unranked in these markets. This is an Apple limitation, not a data gap in the tool.
Who is this tool for?
App developers, ASO specialists, and product teams who want to verify their app's global availability, track how competitors perform across markets, monitor ratings, or spot regional issues.
Can I use this to check a competitor's app?
Absolutely. Any app published on the Apple App Store can be looked up: search for it by name or paste its URL or numeric App ID, and you get the same per-country report you get for your own app. Save two reports and you can open them side by side, your app over time or against a competitor. Comparing saved reports is free with an account and costs no credits.
What is an App Store storefront?
A storefront is Apple's regional version of the App Store for a specific country or territory. Each storefront can have different app availability, pricing, ratings, and chart rankings. There are 175 storefronts worldwide.
How do I find my app's Apple ID?
Open your app's listing on the App Store in a browser. The numeric ID is in the URL after '/id', for example, in 'apps.apple.com/app/id123456789' the ID is 123456789. You can also find it in App Store Connect under App Information.
Does this work for iPad or macOS apps?
On the App Store the tool queries the iOS storefronts, which include universal apps that run on iPad. Mac App Store apps that are also listed on the iOS store will appear. Standalone macOS-only apps are not covered.
Is there a way to get notified when an app becomes available in my region?
Yes, on Pro. Save the app and it is re-checked automatically on a schedule you choose, and every run emails you the result with any market that gained or lost availability as the headline. Availability is the field each run compares against the one before it, so a country flipping from unavailable to available is reported to you as a change rather than something you have to spot in a table of every market. Free and anonymous checks are run on demand instead, so you would re-run those yourself.
Can I check Android apps on Google Play?
Yes. Choose Google Play above the search box, then paste a Play link or a package name like com.example.app, or search by name. You get the same per-country report: availability, rating, price in local currency and chart position, across 176 Google Play locations. Two differences are worth knowing, because Google publishes its data differently from Apple. Google gives one rating count for the whole world rather than one per country, so the report shows how many ratings carry written text in each market instead, and states the worldwide total once. And Google groups reviews by language rather than by country, so a review panel says which language it is and which markets share it.
What is ASO and how does this tool help?
ASO (App Store Optimization) is the process of improving an app's visibility within the App Store. This tool helps by showing how your app's ratings, availability, and chart rankings compare across every country, data that is essential for a global ASO strategy.
