How do I check if an app is available in a country on Google Play?

Paste the Google Play link or the package name (like com.example.app) into the checker, choose the countries you care about, and run the check. Each country comes back available or unavailable, with the app's rating and price in that market. Up to 5 countries is free with no account.

Why is an app not available in my country on Google Play?

Almost always because the developer chose not to distribute it there. Google Play lets a developer pick which of the 176 supported locations an app is released in, and many apps ship to only a handful. Less often it is a legal restriction, or the app was removed in that market. The checker reports what Google Play actually serves for each country, so you can tell a deliberate release choice from a country-wide absence.

How many countries does Google Play cover?

Google Play names 176 locations for app distribution. That is not the same list as Apple's 175 App Store storefronts: 160 markets are on both, 15 exist only on the App Store, and 16 only on Google Play. The checker uses each store's own list, which is why the country picker changes when you switch stores.

Can I check an Android app I do not own?

Yes. Everything read is public on Google Play, so a competitor's link returns the same report as your own: per-country availability, rating, price and chart position. No developer account and no Play Console access are involved.

Does Google Play show ratings per country?

It shows a rating score per country, and the checker reports that. It does not publish a rating count per country: the number of ratings Google shows is the worldwide total, the same in every market. So the report shows how many ratings carry written text in each country, which does vary, and states the worldwide total once rather than repeating it as though it were local.

Can I check the same app on both the App Store and Google Play?

Yes, as two checks. Choose the store above the search box and run one for each. They are kept separate on purpose: the two stores have different country lists, and an app can be available in a market on one and absent on the other, which is usually the thing worth knowing.
