App Store countries: the list of all 175 storefronts

The App Store is available in 175 countries and regions, which Apple calls storefronts. Each has its own listings, prices and charts, and a person sees the storefront their Apple Account is set to, wherever they are. The full list is below, in five regions as the checker groups them, with the 17 storefronts Google Play does not name and the 158 the two stores share.
All 175 App Store storefronts, by region
The five regions are the ones the checker's country picker uses. The last column says whether Google Play names the same country as a distribution location; 158 of the 175 are on both stores. Names are the checker's, and Apple's list spells a few differently, such as Czechia and Macau.

How Apple keeps the list
Apple publishes the countries and regions where the App Store is available, together with the other Apple media services offered in each, on one support page. The table above matches it storefront for storefront.
A developer can release an app in any of the 175 countries or regions, or in all of them at once, and an app set to All Countries or Regions also becomes available in any storefront Apple adds later.

Availability, in App Store Connect's own words, is the storefronts where the app can be bought or downloaded, and the price is set with it; both are properties of the app the developer edits.

A change to an app's availability or price takes effect at a different local time in each country or region, and Apple lists those start times per storefront.

A person sees the storefront of the country set on their Apple Account, so the same app can be listed for one traveller and missing for another standing beside them.

App Store storefronts and Google Play locations
Google publishes its own table of the locations where Google Play distributes apps, 176 of them; the checker's Play list was read from it on 28 August 2026. 158 of those locations are App Store storefronts too, 18 are not, and 17 App Store storefronts have no Google Play location.

What the list does not tell you
A storefront is a country where the App Store exists. Whether a particular app is listed in it is the developer's choice in App Store Connect, or now and then a legal block, and no list can answer that. Reading the storefront can, which is what a check does.

That check ran from the demo page, where the nine demo apps are always free, and each of the six was confirmed against Apple's iTunes lookup API the same day. The report says where the app is listed; the reason for the six is in the developer's own status column.
Common questions
How many countries is the App Store available in?
175 countries and regions, which Apple calls storefronts, and Apple publishes the list on its Availability of Apple Media Services page. A developer can release an app in any of them or in all 175 at once, and an app set to all countries also joins any storefront Apple adds later.
Is the App Store's country list the same as Google Play's?
No. Google Play names 176 locations, the App Store has 175, and they overlap on 158. Of the App Store's storefronts, 17 exist only there, among them Afghanistan, Bhutan, Kosovo, Nauru and Palau, and 18 Google Play locations have no App Store, among them Bangladesh, Cuba, Iran, Samoa and Vatican City. A check of an app on both stores uses each store's own list.
Does an App Store storefront mean an app is available there?
No. A storefront is a country where the App Store exists; whether a given app is listed in it is the developer's choice in App Store Connect, or occasionally a legal block that Apple shows the developer as that country's status. The only way to know for a particular app is to read that storefront, which is what a check of the app does.
Does Apple add new countries to the App Store?
It can, and App Store Connect is built for it: a developer who chooses All Countries or Regions, or ticks the box at the bottom of the country list, has the app join any new countries or regions Apple adds to the App Store in the future. Apple's Availability of Apple Media Services page is the list to watch for additions.
Are prices and charts the same in every App Store storefront?
No. Each storefront has its own prices, set by the developer per country or region and taking effect at that country's local time, and its own charts where Apple publishes them. The same app can be free in one storefront and paid in another, and sit in one country's top charts while absent from another's.
